The Cat's Pajamas

Check out The Weekend Tally! This week's is exceptional. I'm glad that I snagged one of these for a $1 vs Urban's lousy $8. Also, I've got to start expanding my topics on this thing. I'm entirely one-dimensional sometimes.

I make no excuse on a Monday.

The phrase "Cat's Pajamas" always makes me think of the phrase "The Bees Kness" for some reason.

Yeah, I see what you mean. Despite hearing this phrase before I totally used this today because I just read it in a sentence and it made me laugh.

me too! There should be a new entry to this weird phrasery. The first thing that popped into my head was "the giraffe's bar graph", which frankly doesn't sound all that great.

holy crap there's a lot more of them, and supposedly all thought up by the same guy (Tad Dorgan)! from google search:
{Some people think that [Dorgan] first came up with the phrase, as well as several others that didn't stick around including "the flea's eyebrows", "canary's tusks", "the bee's knees, the snake's hips, the clam's garter, the eel's ankle, the elephant's instep, the tiger's spots, the leopard's stripes, the sardine's whiskers, and the pig's wings"}

No way the "giraffe's bar graph" is music to my ears. Are you kidding me? This is the stuff of magic. As for the others HOLY MOLY that's a lotta phrases that are AWESOME.

Personally, I'd like to work in "the elephants instep" every conversational chance I get!
